Level with the surrounding terrace when closed
Some pools are the centrepiece. This one was asked to recede.
The finish and the edge detail were chosen so the water reads as a dark plane set into the terrace, and so the closed floor reads as terrace rather than as a lid over a pool.
Architectural integration
The system is engineered to disappear into the build: no visible cover box, no separate plant enclosure interrupting the elevation, no change in level between the pool surround and the surface itself.
The result
A pool when the household wants one, and an uninterrupted terrace the rest of the time.
